These pets will typically stay in the home of the owner, so that they are in familiar surroundings. You’ll need to look after them at their home, and you may also need to provide basic services as part of your job, such as collecting mail or vacuuming pet hair. 

Some of your duties as a dog sitter may include:

• Brush fur and teeth and carry out other types of grooming

• Walk dogs

• Clean litter boxes

• Give medications, if applicable
